The Premiere of "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style"

I am a big "Project Runway" fan. Loved the show. I was excited to hear that Tim Gunn was coming out with his on show on Bravo, "Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style". I always enjoyed his brutal honesty and hilarious comments on "Project Runway" as it related to the struggling designers. I had the Tivo ready and set to record the first episode of his new show last night, however due to some unfortunate satellite problems it did not record and I missed the show. The reviews have come in so-so. The premise of the show are fashion make-overs to help common folk become stylish. Suits me! The critics have said the show was boring and lacked substance, however noted Gunn did add his usual bits of humor like, " that garment looks like a shaved hamster." Well, I am still going to catch one of the million re-runs that will air on Bravo between now and next Thursday and give it a fair chance. I saw Tim Gunn on The View this week where he noted the top essentials for your fall shopping list, they include:

1) Basic White Shirt
2) Skirt - use your own style that is flattering to your body
3) Classic Dress Pant - gray or black
4) Cashmere Sweater
5) Trench Coat - pick something with color not just khaki
6) Day Dress
7) Little Black Dress

Seems straight forward but I loved the trends they are showing this fall, so it got me excited for some cooler fall weather that is around the corner!
